Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their Switchboard Satellite Operation. This role involves assembling electrical control equipment and ensuring quality standards are met while offering competitive pay and various benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies and components in electrical control equipment.
  • Perform assembly for test preparation and final inspection.
  • Use established procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units.
  • Assemble wiring panels and sub-assemblies based on electrical drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards.
  • Understand power flow and comply with regulations when wiring switchboards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive work culture by following safety policies.
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs and communicate issues or part shortages.
  • Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in an assembly-related role or completion of a one-year Technical School diploma.
  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location.
  • No immigration sponsorship or support will be provided for this position.
  • Preferred: Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with low-voltage and control-voltage wiring.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated comprehension of wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to read and comprehend front views and one-line diagrams.
  • Experience with measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly.
  • Experience using various manual and electric tools.

  • Work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3 PM.
