Overview

Airgas is hiring a Field Service Technician in Atlanta, GA, responsible for installing and servicing bulk industrial and medical gas delivery systems while ensuring safe operation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install cryogenic bulk installations at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 system reliability.
  • Maintain and repair pressure reduction equipment associated with bulk delivery systems.
  • Assess and maintain electrical systems associated with cryogenic installations.
  • Repair high-pressure reciprocating cryogenic pumps and low-pressure centrifugal pumps.
  • Troubleshoot and service refrigeration units.
  • Determine appropriate vaporizer sizes for specific applications.
  • Install decals and warning signs for hazard identification.
  • Conduct Site Surveys to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Secure necessary permits or approvals from local authorities.
  • Review structural drawings and plans for site appropriateness.
  • Ensure security fencing protects installations from tampering.
  • Complete annual inspections of all bulk installation sites.
  • Maintain an appropriate stock of recommended parts for installations.
  • Keep an accurate monthly inventory of spare parts and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No at-fault driving accidents or moving violations in the previous 3 years.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Certified Brazer Certificate within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must have basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime.
