Overview

Axiom Space is a human space exploration company focused on building space infrastructure and delivering technology-driven solutions. They are seeking an Electronics Production Technician to assemble and test electrical hardware for their projects, including the Axiom Station.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and integrate prototype, qualification, and space-rated avionics hardware.
  • Fabricate avionics wire harnesses, terminations, connectors, and related components per drawings.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings and diagrams of avionics systems.
  • Assemble prototype and test boxes with minimalistic drawings.
  • Use standard lab test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Interact with engineering disciplines and technical management in a professional environment.
  • Communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain agile project management methodologies.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician.
  • Proven background in board-level, system-level, and spacecraft-level electronics hardware.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fabricating, assembling, and testing avionics and electrical assemblies.
  • Must hold one or more relevant certifications in workmanship standards.
  • Strong track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.
  • Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Position is onsite at the Gemini facility located in Webster, TX.
  • May require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to regulations.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
