The Industrial Maintenance Technician role involves a mix of mechanical and electrical work, focusing on the installation and repair of various electrical equipment and ensuring machinery operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Understand safety rules for working with hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical apparatus.
• Perform 60% mechanical work and 40% electrical work.
• Work on complex projects and solve constantly changing problems.
• Install and repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors.
• Use welding equipment and perform welding tasks.
• Diagnose and correct electrical system issues.
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of machinery.
• Follow the preventive maintenance program and perform equipment inspections.
• Maintain buildings and perform repairs as needed.
• Notify management of major repair needs.
• Provide on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics.
• Maintain continuous improvement efforts in the work area.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated commitment to electrical safety and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of medium voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC, 750 VDC).
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Experience with transformers maintenance and testing.
• Knowledge of three-phase motors, DC motors, and motor controls.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and communication protocols.
• Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
