Overview

Accent Controls, Inc. (ACI) is seeking a full-time Motor Equipment Metal Mechanic to support field and sustainment level maintenance at Fort Gordon Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) in Fort Gordon, Georgia. This position involves maintaining and repairing various motor equipment under the guidelines of the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act.

Responsibilities

  • Examine damaged vehicles and determine the extent of damage.
  • Estimate labor and material requirements for repairs.
  • Determine methods, equipment, and materials required for repairs.
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and drawings.
  • Plan and lay out work including material and equipment needs.
  • Use welding equipment to perform cutting, brazing, welding, and bending.
  • Cut out and weld body panels and repair large tears and breaks.
  • Use sheet metal working equipment to fabricate or modify components.
  • Provide specific instructions to lower level workers.
