Overview

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Pipefitter Apprentice in Abernathy, TX. The apprentice will perform installation, maintenance, and repair work on various piping systems and equipment under direction, utilizing hand and machine tools.

Responsibilities

  • Determines methods and materials needed for assigned tasks.
  • Prepares and works from sketches, plans, specifications, and roughing-in sheets.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related equipment.
  • Installs and repairs piping systems using various joint methods.
  • Performs lockout and tag procedures to secure and deactivate equipment.
  • Inspects work site for obstructions and structural integrity.
  • Bends and cuts pipe using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Dismantles equipment to access and remove defective parts.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks involving moving materials and tools.
  • Completes paperwork documenting repair and maintenance activities.
  • Works collaboratively with other crafts as directed.
  • Secures pipes to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
