Overview

As a welder, you will perform MIG welding and manage machines that manufacture and repair metal structures. The role requires in-depth knowledge of welding machinery and a steady hand with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding, loading, and unloading weld fixtures.
  • Move parts from station to station.
  • Robot fixture tending.
  • Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets through process design, optimization projects and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and skills.
  • Positive and effective interaction with co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. repeatedly) and stand or walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass welding certification within 30 days of hire.
  • 2 years manufacturing welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints required.

Additional Information

  • 100% of your time is on the manufacturing facility floor.
  • Requires frequent work in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • No travel is required.
