Overview

Dematic Corp. is seeking a skilled Welder to join their manufacturing crew in Salt Lake City. The role involves using various welding techniques on state-of-the-art material handling equipment, providing an opportunity to enhance skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with welding procedures and processes in multiple positions on all equipment.
  • Provide assistance with welding and fit-up of fabricated parts.
  • Review blueprints and sketches to select, prep, and complete the layout of material.
  • Identify problems as they occur and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Seek advice and mentorship on non-routine or complex issues.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and similar structures.
  • Perform routine duties with repetitive motions.
  • Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Operate grinders, saws, and torches in the fabrication of company products.

Requirements

  • Typically, an associate degree in welding or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.
  • Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
  • Generally, a minimum of 1 year of successful experience in the area of responsibility.
