Overview

PROENERGY is an engineering, R&D, and manufacturing company specializing in fast-start power generation solutions. The Fabrication Supervisor for the 3rd Shift will lead a team to ensure safety, quality, and productivity in the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct work to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain the highest quality of product and people.
  • Achieve on-time schedule attainment.
  • Evaluate direct reports formally and informally.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity expectations are understood.
  • Communicate company information and expectations to employees.
  • Participate in daily pass-downs with multiple supervisors.
  • Report all near misses and incidents as per policy.
  • Responsible for accurate NCR reporting and escalation of issues.
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping for payroll completion.
  • Prepare performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Prepare performance discipline documentation as needed.
  • Encourage participation in shop improvement teams.
  • Ensure maintenance and improvement of 5S standards.
  • Identify and correct behavior or policy violations.
  • Track and communicate man hour status and goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and/or 5 years’ experience with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, Oxy-fuel cutting, and plasma arc cutting.
  • Basic knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to use measuring devices and basic tools effectively.
  • Experience operating a forklift safely.
  • Knowledge to rig properly and operate an overhead crane safely.
  • Understanding of welding amperage, wire speed, and consumable replacement.
  • Ability to identify basic welding symbols and components.
  • Quality of welds must meet D1.1 and ASME section 9 standards.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
  • US work authorization is required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check.
