Overview

The Tool & Die Maker position involves building, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining tooling and dies. The role requires experience in machining components and the use of various machines, with a focus on safety and collaboration in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from schematics and technical drawings to fabricate tooling components.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dies and tooling to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices throughout all machining operations.

Requirements

  • Experienced in building, troubleshooting, repairing, and preventive maintenance of tooling and dies.
  • Skilled in understanding layouts, drawings, and sketches.
  • Experience with machining components using drill press, milling machine, lathe, surface grinder, and saw.
  • Familiar with metal stamping dies and fixtures.
  • Experience with tool steels and their applications.
  • Experience with commonly stamped metals such as cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel.
  • Ability to participate actively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
