Overview

This Maintenance Mechanic position offers an opportunity to work with a multimillion-dollar food processing business that started as a small poultry farm. The role requires 1-3+ years of industry experience and provides a competitive salary along with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines to detect malfunctions.
  • Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Write work orders and order parts if necessary.
  • Communicate with Tech Support as needed.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated application of principles, methods, techniques, tools, and equipment used in maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects.
  • Ability to adapt, troubleshoot, research solutions, and make recommendations.
