Overview

Tuff Shed, the industry leader in storage buildings and garages, is seeking construction/laborers/builders for their manufacturing facility. The position offers training, indoor work, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and execute directions given in writing, orally, or in diagram form.
• Operate power tools and other equipment safely.
• Utilize a tape measure, working drawings, and speed square efficiently and accurately.
• Perform fabrication of Tuff Shed products according to cut sheets or engineer drawings.
• Apply paint ensuring proper coverage and maintain painting equipment.
• Ensure completed sub-assemblies are placed in appropriate bins.
• Maintain and lubricate tools daily, reporting any unsafe tools to the Production Foreman.
• Comply with Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Inform the Production Foreman when inventory levels are low.
• Move up to 50 pounds regularly and lift more than 50 pounds periodically with assistance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with the Prefabrication function or similar.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to carry out instructions communicated in writing, orally, or in diagram form.
• Ability to use basic arithmetic and read a tape measure, working drawings, and speed square.
• Experience handling and operating power tools preferred.
• May be required to complete Tuff Shed fork lift certification.
