Overview

The Quality Inspector role involves performing inspections to ensure parts conform to specifications and regulatory requirements. The inspector is responsible for the Inspection Test Plan and project quality plan, reporting to the QC Supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Document dimensional and visual inspections according to drawings or procedures.
  • Perform regular audits on processes, training, and work cells to ensure product quality and employee safety.
  • Conduct audits on safety-related initiatives such as TPM and training of new employees.
  • Document non-conforming materials using the NCR process.
  • Review and verify qualifications of suppliers and personnel regarding NDE and welding procedures.
  • Review and approve suppliers' manufacturing and testing documents and procedures.
  • Prepare and define test and inspection requirements for projects.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma / GED and 0-2 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with established quality standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment used in machining, assembly, and testing.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods.
