Overview

Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, is seeking a Heat Treater C to join their team in Roselle, NJ. The role involves performing essential heat treatment functions under the direction of the Production Manager to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment.
  • Prepare work for processing; load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, and baskets.
  • Report any unusual problems or irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Care for and treat customer inventory safely to prevent loss or damage.
  • Report for work on time and follow directions.
  • Interact effectively with co-workers and accept constructive criticism.

Requirements

  • Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum six months experience in heat treating is required.
  • Working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures is necessary.
  • Must be able to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • Must obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.

Additional Information

  • This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus.
  • The work schedule is 1 pm to 10 pm, Monday to Friday.
