Overview

Rinker Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Cedar Hill, TX plant, contributing to the production of reinforced concrete infrastructure products. The role emphasizes a commitment to both customer satisfaction and employee value.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Work on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and using safety harnesses.

Requirements

• Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation and construction of infrastructure.
• Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics.
• Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions and listen effectively.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database systems.
• Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
• Diagnostic problem solving techniques and detail orientation.
• Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
