Overview

The Welder II position involves performing various welding processes on valves and piping, requiring manual pipe welding abilities and the ability to pass specific tests. The work is conducted in an air-conditioned shop with multiple shifts available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding using GTAW-Pulsed, GTAW-Hot Wire, GTAW, and FCAW processes on valves and piping.
  • Overlay and manual pipe welding as required.
  • Pass 6G test and X-ray on ½”-6” Pipe.

Requirements

  • High School degree required, technical courses preferred.
  • Certified Welder or ability to become certified within first six months of employment.
  • Minimum of 5 years welding, cutting, brazing experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years using compact cladders (ARC 5, Fronius).
  • Must be able to read and follow weld procedures and pass a 6 G GTAW/FCAW weld test.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of welding and cutting equipment and gas equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
  • Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
  • Works well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret weld drawings.

What you'll be running
