Overview

The Maintenance Machine Tool Repair position involves repairing and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, including metal fabricating machine tools and automated systems. The role requires working with precision machines and performing various maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines.
  • Work with precision machines including conveyors, lathes, mills, grinders, and pneumatic systems.
  • Use precision tools to measure angles, material thickness, and small distances.
  • Fit bearings, align gears, and connect motors according to blueprints.
  • Assist in dismantling machines using hand tools.
  • Fabricate and install parts on equipment by measuring, cutting, and drilling.
  • Unload, inspect, and position equipment using cranes and hoists.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various machines and systems.
  • Read and fabricate parts from blueprints and ISO drawings.
  • Align pumps and motors within tight tolerances.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks and man-lifts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 3+ years related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience operating machine tools, including numerical control and manual lathes.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting specifications.
  • Knowledge of Lathe, Mills, Cut Off Saw, and Drill Press equipment.
  • Experience with machining, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Additional Information

  • Shift work required with no guaranteed shift preference.
  • Work hours include 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am.
  • Daily and weekend overtime as needed.
