Overview

Bodycote, the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Arlington, TX. This safety-sensitive position involves the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and vehicles under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Follow priorities set by supervisor and perform work according to company guidelines and manufacturer specifications.
  • Minimize unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment efficiency, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Implement the facility’s preventative maintenance program.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections of fluid levels, water flows, quench oils, filters, and similar items; notify supervisor of issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment in the Maintenance Department work area.
  • Assist in equipment performance testing per company and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform corrective actions for out-of-specification conditions as directed by supervisor.
  • Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment, facilities, and vehicles.
  • Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
  • Maintain shop copies of manuals and blueprints in an organized manner.
  • Run company errands and pick up equipment, materials, and supplies as required.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Promptly report observed repair or maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Make suggestions for changes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
  • Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
  • Report for work on time, follow directions, and interact effectively with co-workers.

Requirements

  • Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
  • Education: College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred; High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Must possess troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and be analytical.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; must have excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Actively participate in team meetings for problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Must have basic maintenance or industrial tools.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to work in an industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity.
