Overview

HOLT CAT in Irving, Texas is seeking an experienced Undercarriage Field Technician 3 to service the north Texas region. This role involves performing complex diagnosis and repairs on heavy construction equipment undercarriage at customer locations or in the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Model and promote HOLT’s Values Based Leadership tools and processes.
  • Perform extensive repairs on equipment undercarriage and components in the field or shop.
  • Remove broken bolts and perform basic welding as needed.
  • Operate all tooling and machines used in undercarriage rebuilding.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble undercarriage components.
  • Evaluate, measure, and monitor undercarriage conditions.
  • Work as part of a team to provide expert technical and mechanical services.
  • Prepare service reports and necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain all company equipment, tools, and work areas in good order.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other Undercarriage Technicians.
  • Adhere to safety policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience in Heavy Construction Equipment repair preferred.
  • Undercarriage repair experience is preferred.
  • Caterpillar certifications are preferred.
  • Must have a CDL Class B and a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • Must own a large and complete assortment of tools and specialized tools.

Additional Information

  • Travel is required for this position with possible overnight stays.
