Overview
The Asset Maintenance Tech III plays a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing rental equipment, handling complex repairs, managing inventory, and mentoring less experienced team members. This position is ideal for those with advanced mechanical skills who enjoy solving technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on rental equipment, ensuring units are rental-ready.
- Lead inventory control, including cycle counts and necessary adjustments.
- Inspect equipment for quality assurance and ensure accurate documentation of check sheets.
- Manage work orders, recording all parts, labor, and related items.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Operate a forklift as needed to move equipment and supplies.
- Mentor and train junior technicians on maintenance and safety procedures.
- Occasionally deliver or pick up equipment from customer locations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations.
- Deliver and/or pick up berms from customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, or a related field.
- Proven experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
- 2-5 years of welding experience is preferred.
- Knowledge or previous experience with cutting torch and plasma cutter.
- Forklift certification within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in the rental/pump industry strongly preferred.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
