Overview

The Senior Structural Designer will support small to mid-size projects in the chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas refining industries, focusing on 2D and 3D structural design for heavy industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AutoCAD and recent experience with 3D modeling, working under the supervision of a lead engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple small to mid-size projects in the chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas refining industries.
  • Utilize Laser Scan data files to verify existing site conditions for 3D model creation.
  • Develop key deliverables and drawings including foundation drawings, underground pipe details, and structural steel support drawings.
  • Respond and interact with clients and contractors regarding RFIs.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D software such as PDMS, E3D, Revit, CadWorx, or Advance Steel.
  • Experience with structural design including steel platforms, equipment supports, and reinforced concrete foundations.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes and practices for design, construction, and safety.
  • Ability to contribute scope and workhour estimate information for project proposals.
  • TWIC Card or ability to obtain.
