Responsibilities

  • Provide production support by performing setup, troubleshooting and operations of automated welding cells.
  • Mentor and support Weld Technician trainees.
  • Perform machine cleaning.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand measurement tools.
  • Utilize a Multimeter for troubleshooting.
  • Perform weld tip/cap changes and weld gun maintenance.
  • Conduct change over processes of stationary welders and automated cells.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fixtures and cells.
  • Run Red Rabbit process and troubleshoot issues.
  • Understand weld fixture adjustment processes.
  • Manage types, uses, replacement and setup of common sensors.
  • Troubleshoot basic welding technology issues.
  • Utilize Plex for documentation and locating parts.
  • Apply basic welding techniques and theory.
  • Understand dispense systems and perform necessary inspections.
  • Maintain operational understanding of nut feeders.
  • Execute basic cell resets and touch up robotic programmed points.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Industrial truck and aerial platform licenses.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications.
  • Successful completion of Weld Tech curriculum with passing grade.
  • Successful completion of Weld Tech trainee period.
  • High standards of performance and responsibility.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Flexibility to support plant flow and customer needs.
  • Knowledge and skills to perform all job aspects.
  • Positive attitude towards change and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge.
