Job Description

Overview

Precision Building Products is a growing division and sub-contractor based in Boynton Beach, FL, specializing in hollow metal doors, wood doors, and related commercial door systems since 1996. They are currently seeking full-time Commercial Door Installers and Fabricators to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Interpret and follow construction drawings and installation details.
  • Communicate with shop supervisor for work orders and job instructions.
  • Travel to different job sites as required.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Analyze engineering diagrams, schematics, and drawings to determine exact project requirements.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and shape raw materials like steel or aluminum using power saws, shears, and presses.
  • Align components and join them using fasteners, or weld them together using methods like MIG welding.
  • Inspect finished goods against design tolerances and perform routine maintenance on fabrication machinery.
  • Adhere to strict OSHA and workplace accident prevention guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand plans and shop drawings.
  • Experience with door, frame, and hardware installation (preferred).
  • Ability to use standard tools and equipment (provided).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience with tools such as press brakes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and welding torches.
  • Strong ability to calculate dimensions, angles, and tolerances.
