Aqua Contour Cutting, Inc. (ACC) is a sheet metal fabrication shop that has expanded from water jet cutting to include laser cutting, forming, welding, and powder coating. ACC aims to be a leading sheet metal processing and fabrication job shop, focusing on high-quality customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines in the Welding department.
  • Maintain the work area and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure part production operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Minimize downtime by maintaining part production efficiency.
  • Follow proper maintenance procedures for effective preventive maintenance.
  • Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and adjust machines as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Prior experience in the metal fabrication industry preferred.
  • MIG or TIG welding experience required.
  • Print reading and Dial caliper reading required.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
