Overview

The Production Welder position requires performing various welding functions, including machine setup, material preparation, and blueprint reading, to produce parts according to time standards. Candidates must be capable of welding different materials together in production runs, utilizing wire feed welding machines.

Responsibilities

  • Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Pass in-house welding test (1G or better).
  • Read tape measure, use calipers, and use a micrometer.
  • Perform basic math calculations.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; or 1-2 years related experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn continuous improvement techniques.
