Overview

We are looking to hire a Welder to perform welding work and activities required to produce Apex products. The role involves welding components at a fast pace and in various positions, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding work to produce Apex products.
  • Weld components at a fast pace and in vertical positions.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components for welding.
  • Select and install torches, torch tips, and filler rods according to specifications.
  • Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs to complete circuits.
  • Connect and adjust gas flow and pressure for desired flames.
  • Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
  • Inspect initial products and adjust as necessary for quality.
  • Maintain equipment and report safety/maintenance concerns.
  • Move materials within the work area.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Report unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Obey all safety rules and regulations.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Maintain records as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-year work experience in production welding.
  • Demonstrated welding ability.
  • Able to work overtime hours as required.
  • Stand and walk continuously for 8-10 hours if necessary.
  • Lift and carry 50 pounds.
