Overview

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Leak Repair Technician to join their safety-conscious team. The technician will perform both basic and advanced on-line leak-sealing repairs while assisting with record keeping and data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic on-line repairs including drill and taps, adjusting, packing, bonnets, flanges, thread leaks and connectors.
  • Assist with advanced repairs such as fabrication, measuring and installation, valve repacking, etc.
  • Assist in recording repair information for on-site programs.
  • Obtain the proper work permits to perform work in operating areas.
  • Complete daily work sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work closely with management to maintain customer requirements and satisfaction while ensuring that the company’s goals and standards are met.
  • Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to develop effective partnerships.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze data, evaluate situations and identify problems or opportunities.
  • Demonstrate initiative, planning work and carrying out tasks without detailed instructions.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required; further education in a technical field or relevant college coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations or maintenance roles preferred.
  • Versatile in handling various tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Able to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Familiarity with plant maintenance and repair is beneficial.
  • Able to follow supervisors' instructions precisely.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Involves both indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings.
  • Ability to adapt to different job sites and weather conditions.
  • Must be physically able to walk, climb, and perform field duties.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Good observational skills.
  • Manual dexterity for routine office and field tasks.
  • Skilled in multitasking and maintaining focus in a dynamic environment.
