Overview

Latitude AI is a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company focused on developing automated driving technology. The Automotive Service Technician will be part of the Service Operations team, providing mechanical maintenance and support for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document all findings and track time accordingly.
• Diagnose issues using supplied hardware and software combinations.
• Communicate with cross functioning teams on electrical and electronic systems and autonomous control systems.
• Assemble, modify, and repair wiring harnesses from schematics, using hand tools and proper assembly and rework techniques.
• Experience with flashing and re-flashing automotive control modules and CAN bus operation.
• Follow documented work instructions completely and accurately.
• Validate DAT, ADAS, AV, and EV systems functionality.
• Work in small teams as needed to complete any engineering requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years of employment experience.
• Experience working on vehicles professionally.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with the use of oscilloscope or picoscope.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to meet Latitude AI’s minimum driving record requirements.
• Ability to meet Latitude’s Vehicle Operator safety screening requirements.

Additional Information

• Expect to potentially travel up to 25% of the time for training and/or support of other office locations.
