Overview

Alta Dena Dairy is seeking skilled plant maintenance mechanics to ensure the operation of machinery and equipment in various capacities. This role involves maintaining production and utility systems for a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America, which produces a variety of dairy products.

Responsibilities

  • Care and maintenance of all property and production assets.
  • Complete planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.
  • Ensure continued operation of machinery and equipment in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic capacities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three years of experience required in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility.
  • Minimum one year experience in a maintenance role within the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience with technical skills in Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and/or HVAC.
  • Minimum one year experience with equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations.
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for the entire shift; occasionally climb or balance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to work in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise volume.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

  • 3rd Shift - 9:00PM to 5:30AM, Wednesday / Thursday off.
  • Compensation based on experience: $38.12 - $43.07 / hr.
