Overview

Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an Associate Engineer I to manage, design, implement, and maintain motion control applications and industrial manufacturing equipment. The role requires advanced knowledge in various technical areas including electrical control systems and motion control.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing projects
  • Interface and collaborate with various engineering teams
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical control systems
  • Design controls for hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Develop multi-panel testers
  • Create electrical and mechanical solutions
  • Read, edit, and generate electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Read, edit, and generate mechanical drawings
  • Read, edit, and generate hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical design issues
  • Create and execute preventative and/or predictive maintenance documents
  • Evaluate equipment status to determine necessary repairs, redesigns, or rebuilds

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Practical experience in designing and implementing industrial machines
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Visio for electrical schematics
  • Experience with Inventor for mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles
  • Experience with DC and three phase motor selection and control
  • Familiarity with VFD selection, wiring, control, and programming
  • Understanding of relay circuits and safety relays
  • Experience with motion control systems
  • Knowledge of Cognex Vision Systems and Industrial Barcode Scanners
  • Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Organized with technical writing skills
