Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering Technician to join our manufacturing team in Northlake. This role involves assembling mechanical equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales Operations to understand forecasting bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
  • Assemble mechanical equipment, machinery, and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals for accurate assembly.
  • Perform inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly machinery safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues during assembly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve assembly processes.
  • Document assembly activities, including labor time and materials used.
  • Follow company safety procedures and participate in safety training programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training, vocational education, or certification in mechanical assembly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning.
