Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position involves performing preventative maintenance, operational functions, and repairs to manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs of manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Document all work performed and comply with cGMP standards.
  • Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations to supervision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Perform general building maintenance as needed.
  • Use various hand and power tools and material handling equipment.
  • Provide coverage for other mechanics as requested.
  • Contribute ideas for maintenance process improvements.
  • Stay compliant with assigned training requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED required; apprenticeship or applicable certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years maintenance mechanic experience in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematics for technical work.
  • Knowledge in various skilled-trade areas such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills and technology aptitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to achieve aseptic gowning certification.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs and lock out/tag out (LOTO).
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
