Overview

As an Assembly Mechanic Level 2 FAA at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of mechanical and electromechanical components and systems. Your role is crucial in supporting the efficient production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform quality checks and tests on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve them.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company safety policies and procedures.
  • Document assembly processes and report production data accurately.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly or related manufacturing roles, preferably at a level 2 or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
  • Experience with quality control processes and the ability to identify defects or assembly issues.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement instruments used in assembly.
  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
