Overview

American Tube and Pipe is seeking an End Table Operator to assist with the manufacturing of tubes and pipes in their mill. The position offers a competitive starting pay of $22.00 to $26.50 per hour along with a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect table operation equipment and prepare for use.
  • Adjust the bundling cart to accommodate the size and length of pipe to be run.
  • Manually assist the pipe as it rolls down the end-table towards the cart.
  • Observe for bows in longer length pipe and bounce pipe on table if necessary to straighten the pipe.
  • Align and straighten the tube rows using the back stop as the bundle is being formed.
  • Place bands around the completed bundle and tighten using the Air Bander.
  • Notify forklift operator when cart needs to be emptied.
  • Use the banding machine to prepare pipes for shipment and storage.
  • Wash used forming and sizing rolls and put into appropriate storage bin when changing out rolls.
  • May be required to operate a forklift.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Technical Certificate preferred.
  • 1 plus years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license issued in the employing state and good driving record.
