Overview

As a Body Shop Technician II at Penske, you will perform diagnostic procedures and repairs on trucks and trailers, including collision repairs and some major repairs under supervision. Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of truck and trailer repair and maintenance.
  • Overhaul, adjust, replace, and repair various motor truck and trailer equipment.
  • Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
  • Perform all levels of Truck Collision Repair services.
  • Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety.
  • Road test vehicles when necessary.
  • Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely manner.
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 6 years practical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/technical school preferred.
  • Specialized training and experience in truck and trailer repair/refinish required.
  • Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to comply with specific instructions and safety regulations.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and complete a background investigation and drug screening.
