Overview

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for Teledyne Micropac to maintain and repair the facility’s structure, equipment, and grounds. The role involves skilled trades work and collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain basic building and grounds maintenance.
  • Understand processes of dangerous chemicals and ensure OSHA/Safety compliance.
  • Observe all company health, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering for equipment improvements.
  • Perform minor electrical tasks including replacing ballasts and light bulbs.
  • Conduct minor plumbing tasks such as brazing copper pipes and installing PVC piping.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC issues and perform carpentry, painting, and drywall tasks.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair plant equipment.
  • Research parts online and assist senior personnel in determining materials for repair.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing assembly or production environment is an advantage.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions.
  • Must pass a respirator physical and wear personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and lift 50-80 pounds.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and own transportation.
