Overview

EquipmentShare is hiring a Shop Technician (Mechanic) to provide maintenance and repair for Pump, Power & HVAC equipment at their Advanced Solutions facility in Hubbard, TX. The role offers the opportunity to work with the latest equipment in the industry and is part of a mission to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support.

Responsibilities

  • Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders.
  • Track machine service intervals and order parts.
  • Diagnose issues using data from various makes and models.
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations.
  • Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
  • Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • EPA 608 certification is preferred.
  • High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in equipment service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime pay after 40 hours.
  • Rotating work schedule of 14 consecutive days on duty followed by 7 consecutive days off.
  • Eligible for per diem for qualifying travel assignments.
