Hartung Glass Industries is a rapidly growing, full-service glass manufacturer serving various clients across North America since 1924. The Industrial Maintenance Technician role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment in a fast-paced glass manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Support equipment setups and changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Inspect machinery and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Complete timely repairs while following safety protocols.
• Document maintenance activities.
• Assist with installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in mechanical systems maintenance, including bearings, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic or pneumatic components.
• Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting, including motors, sensors, control panels, and reading wiring diagrams.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance and use hand and power tools safely.
• Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments, ideally in glass, metals, or similar production settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in varying temperatures.
• Experience with CMMS or maintenance tracking systems and basic computer literacy is beneficial.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, occasional overtime, and respond to urgent equipment issues as needed.
