Overview

Field Service Technician III is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing major component exchanges and repairs in wind turbine systems. The position requires advanced troubleshooting skills and leadership capabilities to ensure safety and service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead major component exchanges, including high-level mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on wind turbines.
  • Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, providing leadership on jobsites.
  • Supervise and train junior technicians and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review and ensure that all service work is completed with efficiency and precision.
  • Prepare and review detailed service reports, including assessments of turbine health and parts performance.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure service schedules and timelines are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance, repairs, and component exchange.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and mentor technicians.
  • Commitment to proactive safety culture, with a focus on zero-harm practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on service excellence.
  • Required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice.
