Overview

General Matter is a mission-driven company focused on enriching uranium to restore America's ability to produce nuclear fuel. As an Electrical Technician, you will support the design validation and production efforts of electrical systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble high-quality and reliable wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Read, interpret, and work from drawings and controlled documentation and processes.
  • Perform verification of hardware, and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner.
  • Assist with the development of production processes for first-time production runs.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data.
  • Build and terminate AC power equipment up to 480VAC.
  • Build electrical control panels to NFPA 79 & UL 508A standards.
  • Solder and de-solder through-hole and SMT components.
  • Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalency certificate.
  • Understanding of basic electronic theory.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Skilled with mechanical hand tools.
  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience.
  • Creative approach to problem solving, with willingness to learn and try new things.

  • Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime and/or weekends as needed.
