The Technician III, Ground Support Equipment Maintenance role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Ground Support Equipment for V-BAT unmanned aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on V-BAT Ground Support Equipment.
  • Independently troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, and power-distribution discrepancies.
  • Inspect, repair, modify, and operationally test Ground Support Equipment.
  • Construct, repair, and inspect electrical wiring harnesses, connectors, cables, and electronic assemblies.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, pinning, and electrical diagnostic procedures.
  • Use digital multimeters and other common electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Perform equipment modifications and configuration updates.
  • Complete detailed maintenance documentation in applicable systems.
  • Identify recurring equipment failures and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support root-cause investigations and communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of maintenance procedures.
  • Review technical instructions for accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist maintenance leadership with workload coordination and repair planning.
  • Inspect completed work for compliance with technical data and standards.
  • Maintain accountability and serviceability of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Assist with V-BAT aircraft maintenance when GSE workload allows.
