Overview

The Asset Maintenance Tech III plays a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing rental equipment. This position handles more complex repairs, manages inventory, and mentors less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on rental equipment, ensuring units are rental-ready.
  • Lead inventory control, including cycle counts and necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect equipment for quality assurance and ensure accurate documentation of check sheets.
  • Manage work orders, recording all parts, labor, and related items.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Operate a forklift as needed to move equipment and supplies.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians on maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Occasionally deliver or pick up equipment from customer locations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations.
  • Deliver and/or pick up berms from customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • 2-5 years of welding experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge or previous experience with cutting torch and plasma cutter.
  • Forklift certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in the rental/pump industry strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
