Overview

DRS Infrared Sensors and Systems in Dallas is seeking a Process Technician to join their Focal Plane Array team. The company develops and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions, offering a competitive salary and benefits in a challenging work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering technical support to Manufacturing personnel and processes.
  • Evaluate non-conforming material for disposition using various measurement instruments and visual observations.
  • Work in a class 100 cleanroom environment.
  • Recognize, communicate, and respond to process deviations and help identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and evaluate possible solutions.
  • Process material for engineering tests using various semiconductor process equipment.
  • Create, edit, and review process recipes on process equipment.
  • Interpret Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing process and equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Experienced handling small delicate components using ESD practices.
  • Previous experience in semiconductor processing.
  • Previous experience with high vacuum equipment utilized in etching and deposition.
  • Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals.
  • Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview.
  • Experience with MRP is a plus.
  • Must have good mechanical skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain an active DOD security clearance.
