Overview

Waabi is a leader in Physical AI, focused on transforming autonomous transportation with cutting-edge technology for commercial trucks and robotaxis. The company is rapidly growing and seeks innovative candidates to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the Waabi class 8 autonomous trucking fleet.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with vehicle mechanical systems and electrical components.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components or systems following work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with teams to provide feedback on technical issues and assist in the development of new features.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Provide technical support to truck operators on vehicle systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to autonomous and Class 8 vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Support Waabi’s safety culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive technology or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, preferably in the automotive or heavy-duty trucking industry.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with truck maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving technology, including sensors and onboard computer systems, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols and procedures.
  • Open-minded and collaborative team player.
