Overview

Accelevation is a rapidly growing company that designs, manufactures, and installs the infrastructure for advanced technologies. As a Structural Steel Installer, you will play a crucial role in building and installing structural systems for data centers across the United States, requiring travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

  • Install structural steel including beams, columns, braces, embeds, and support framing.
  • Install structural supports, Unistrut systems, seismic bracing, and steel assemblies for electrical infrastructure.
  • Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, blueprints, and installation details.
  • Align, level, and secure structural members using industry-standard equipment.
  • Assemble and install bolted structural steel connections according to engineering specifications.
  • Verify layout, elevation, plumb, level, and alignment prior to final installation.
  • Assist with rigging, signaling, and guiding structural steel during crane picks when qualified.
  • Install anchors and verify torque requirements per project specifications.
  • Utilize lasers, tape measures, levels, and layout equipment for accurate installation.
  • Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and Telehandlers safely.
  • Perform field modifications and basic fabrication as required.
  • Perform welding when qualified and authorized.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with field leadership and crew members to meet production schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two or more years of structural steel erection, steel installation, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and shop drawings.
  • Experience working safely at heights while utilizing fall protection.
  • Experience operating aerial lifts.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred; OSHA 30 is a plus.
  • Ability to travel extensively to project locations throughout the United States.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
