Overview

The Laborer Helper position at Sundt involves assisting skilled craft workers with their duties, while also learning and adhering to safety practices. Sundt is a 100% employee-owned contractor focused on building long-term prosperity for clients and employee-owners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled craft workers in their assigned duties.
  • Work in other crafts as requested by project supervision.
  • Take direction from higher skilled workers or foreman.
  • Utilize effective math skills.
  • Eliminate waste in various forms.
  • Ask a supervisor if unsure about work or safety practices.
  • Learn and understand safety hazards related to the work.
  • Safely and effectively use work-related tools and equipment.
  • Look for opportunities for improvement in tasks and methods.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members.
  • Produce high-quality work safely and productively.
  • Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials and tools.

Requirements

  • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II), and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry preferred.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Work up to a 12 hour shift in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
