Overview

Audubon is seeking a Structural Engineer to design steel and concrete structures for industrial facilities in Houston, TX. The role involves performing structural analysis, preparing design deliverables, and coordinating with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Design steel structures, pipe racks, platforms, and equipment/tank foundations
  • Perform structural analysis using STAAD.Pro, RISA, or similar software
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, and material specifications
  • Coordinate with piping, mechanical, and civil disciplines on loads and interfaces
  • Review shop drawings and support construction queries
  • Ensure designs comply with AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, and project standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (PE or progress toward licensure a plus)
  • 4–8 years of structural design experience in industrial or energy projects
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000)
  • Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design codes
  • Experience with foundation design, including vibrating equipment foundations
