Overview

Giga is building AI data centers rapidly to support a future of intelligence and abundance. They are looking for a BIM Modeler, Structural, to own the structural model on their projects, working with both Revit and AutoCAD to create and maintain structural designs.

Responsibilities

  • Model the structural discipline in Revit, including structural steel framing and equipment support.
  • Model foundations, equipment pads, and anchor bolt setting plans for heavy equipment.
  • Verify anchor bolt and stub-up locations against equipment general arrangement drawings.
  • Model structural framing for enclosures and GigaPod/GigaBase module products.
  • Model outdoor structural scope such as bus supports and equipment platforms.
  • Convert AutoCAD structural drawings into native Revit geometry and produce CAD output.
  • Maintain the structural model within the federated model set and resolve structural-side conflicts.
  • Produce structural drawing packages and issue through project gates.
  • Build and maintain the parametric Revit family library for structural content.

Requirements

  • 5+ years modeling structural scope in Revit for industrial or mission-critical projects.
  • Expert-level Autodesk Revit skills, including family creation and worksharing.
  • Strong AutoCAD fluency, able to move work between AutoCAD and Revit accurately.
  • Demonstrated experience with foundations and anchor bolt layouts for heavy equipment.
  • Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360.
  • Able to read and work from structural calculations and geotechnical reports.
  • Navisworks proficiency, including running clash tests and resolving interferences.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
