Overview

The Painter Helper position involves assisting in the painting and preparation of valves while adhering to production schedules and safety standards. The role requires hands-on tasks such as cleaning, taping, priming, and painting valves, as well as operating equipment like forklifts and blast cabinets.

Responsibilities

  • Strives to meet production schedules without sacrifice to quality or health and safety standards.
  • Clean and wipe down valves.
  • Tape all ID tags and lever.
  • Put socket weld or buttweld covers on valves.
  • Prime valves and let dry.
  • Paint valves and let dry.
  • Remove all tape and blow off valves making sure they are free of dust and grit.
  • Clean lever and place valve on pallet.
  • May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor.
  • Operate Forklift when needed.
  • Operate a blast cabinet for blasting small parts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience painting or sandblasting.
