Job Description

Overview

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking a Field Engineer to provide senior-level engineering support during construction, focusing on infrastructure projects that enhance community development. The role involves collaboration with a diverse team to innovate and improve project execution, ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction.
  • Review construction means and methods for compliance with plans and safety requirements.
  • Understand the impact of daily field activities on schedule, cost, and public impacts.
  • Identify potential downstream impacts and elevate issues to the RE/CM team.
  • Support coordination between design intent, construction execution, and contract requirements.
  • Assist with review of RFIs, submittals, structural shop drawings, change orders, and field directives.
  • Support quantity tracking, progress verification, and pay estimate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate field records, daily reports, and photo documentation.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, surveyors, utility owners, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Participate in construction meetings and provide informed technical input.
  • Support QA/QC processes and verification of work in place.
  • Reinforce safety expectations and compliance with project safety plans.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in construction engineering or construction management.
  • 10-15 years of experience on transportation infrastructure projects with significant structures components.
  • 10-15 years of experience in construction sequencing, means and methods, and contract documents.
  • 10-15 years of experience with construction documentation systems and standard CM tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • The work location for this role is onsite with clients and partners.
  • Some in-person time is required for collaboration and relationship building.
